For an unruly world could be made just so.

My promised blog about atonement is something that I could simply not forget, I absolutely love the way that it is written so articulately and beautifully that the metaphors cannot stop but make my imagine how it is in her life and  the reasoning behind her decisions, but also at the same time enhancing the fact that she is merely a small girl and the consequences of having such an articulate mind at this age . I'm yet to see the film yet but I think I'm going to have to download it now, although I do kind of hate watching the films as it ruins my preconceived ideas on what all the different characters look like, I really want to see how the director portrays the character and who he perceives as the bad one in the film, such an interesting decision!

''A crisis in a heroine's life could be made to coincide with hailstones, gales and thunder, whereas nuptials where gnerally blessed with good light and soft breezes''

I love this quote just because it plays with the stereotypes of how we perceive good and bad situations and it represents really well how the small girl has used these situations within her narrative to brush off the things that were happening around her, and also how easily she could begin to confuse how to write a good story and the consequences that happen when you use these methods in the real world.

A perfect surprise compared to the books usually lurking on my mothers bookshelf.

To me she was blonde and much younger..
